Deb Evans-Mazzant, PTA
Debra is employed at Burk PT as a Physical Therapist Assistant for 4 years. Enthusiastic about her job, she enjoys working with the physical therapist to improve the lives of their patients. Debra believes, while therapy is not always easy, it can be fun and believes people can demonstrate improvements and gain strength in spite of any age or diagnosis.
Her previous experience as a PTA include inpatient rehabilitation working closely to re-educate and strengthen patients with poor balance, weakness and endurance. As well as, acute, in hospital, care helping patients to return home after various surgeries and illness.including total knees, hips and open heart. In addition, she has experience with home health therapy, helping patients get back on their feet and return to community involvement.
Most recently, now employed at Burk PT providing therapy to a wide array of diagnoses including orthopedics, CVA, balance deficits and Parkinson's disease, to name a few along with a variety age groups including pediatrics, elderly, and support to injured athletes.
In her spare time, Debra enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She also has a role as an assistant coach for track and field, as well as, volunteers as a coach for girls bantam basketball. She loves to golf and always enjoys sharing recipes with patients that she can try at home. So if you need therapy, or a great recipe, stop in and ask for Deb.
